The Fort Greene Park Halloween Festival, now in its 9th year, is being held on Saturday October 25, 2008 from 12 noon to 3:30 PM. The free event features a cornucopia of activities for children and their parents, including hayrides, face-painting, inter-active children's music and dance, games and prizes, plus live entertainment – culminating in a children's costume parade. The festival is organized and produced by members of the Fort Greene Park Conservancy, a not-for-profit community-based organization dedicated to the restoration and upkeep of Brooklyn’s historic Fort Greene Park.
